"Micro frontends" - The new trend in large single page applications (SPA) - Video&Slides
Following our successful Fullstack event with over 350 RSVP members, we are happy to share the video & slides with you.
Micro frontends” is a new trend in large single page applications (SPA). Single page applications have become increasingly large and resemble in behavior and life-cycle the server side monolith. Just as there is a movement to split server side monolithic applications into multiple robust micro-services, there is also a movement towards splitting up the client app into multiple parts that can be developed, and more importantly - deployed, independently thus increasing agility and lowering the risk of unexpected regressions in other parts of the application.
Micro Frontends - From Theory to Practice by Assaf Gannon.
We will go over the basic principles, motivation and trade-offs of Micro-Frontends. We will go over the different implementation strategies and demonstrate the ‘Iframe’ strategy for implementation.
Micro Frontends - Getting Our Feet Wet - A Production App Use Case by Alon Valadji.
Alon will talk about breaking an application into multiple separate pages with shared components. This approach utilizes developing separate application elements as independent components and composing them into a coherent application. Alon will talk about the best practices, pitfalls and tools used to utilize this implementation strategy.
